What
is NOC Certificate Attestation & Why is it required?
No Objection Certificate (NOC) or Letter - is a formal
letter from your current sponsor or employer addressed to the different
departments in the UAE. NOC - is required whenever you apply for opening
account in the bank or internet account, for obtaining driving license, for
buying a car, for renewing / adding activity, for adding partners, for opening
a branch, for changing the owner or for any other immigration related business.
You also need a NOC if you wish to change a job from one private company to
another. The letter issued from your sponsor or employer and you should have
copies in both English and Arabic. A NOC is required also in the Department of
Labour and the Department of Naturalization or Immigration in order to prevent
you, the employee, from being banned after completion of your labour contract
or in the process of transferring your sponsorship to a new employer. This is
entirely discretionary and must be freely given by an employer. No employer may
be forced to provide an employee with a NOC, under any circumstance, even after
successful completion of a labour contract. UAE permitted to switch jobs on
completion of two years with their current employer. The new regulation implies
that sponsors can no longer compel employees to work for them, and they can
change jobs if they wish to.
